Annapurna Circuit
It is part of the Himalayas, located in the center of Nepal. Annapurna means “Goddess of Harvest” in Sanskrit. The massif is over 7,000 meters high and contains some of the most dangerous peaks in the world. The southern part of Annapurna ranks first among the eight-thousanders in terms of the death rate of climbers. However, the passage to the mountains is open to everyone, and you can enjoy the surrounding scenery while traveling along well-known routes, including the Annapurna Ring, the Kali Gandaki Valley and the Annapurna Nature Reserve, at the end of which there is a tourist camp. To enter the reserve you will need a special permit, which is issued in the Nepalese cities of Pokhara and Kathmandu. You can get to Annapurna by local bus or with a tour group.
Sagarmatha National Park
What do you miss when climbing Everest? Panoramic views of the summit itself, right? Traveling through the Sagarmatha National Park, located in the shadow of Everest, you can fully enjoy the picturesque landscapes. The route was designed by Peter Hillary (son of Edmund Hillary, who first summited Everest with Sherp Tenzing Norgay). It runs between the villages of Namche Bazaar and Khunde, through forests of rhododendron, blue spruce and lichen.
Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National Park was established in 1973 and is currently a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is home to Bengal tigers, rhinos, elephants and other animals. On the back of an elephant, you can drive around the park in less than an hour and a half, choose morning or evening tours. Bird lovers will surely enjoy canoeing on the Rapti River. Bhaktapur
The charm of the ancient city of Bhaktapur lies in the complete absence of cars in its historical center. Arriving in the Nepalese valley, you seem to find yourself in another world.

Lumbini
The ancient city of Lumbini is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and claims to be the birthplace of the Buddha. The city is located on the Nepalese plain, near the border with India. It is a huge garden surrounded by Buddhist temples and shrines, some of which are built in Chinese and Burmese style.
The easiest way to get to Lumbini is by taxi from Sonauli, the cost of the trip should be discussed in advance. On your way back, do not forget to grab a souvenir – a small copy of the Buddha statue in a ball with artificial snow.
Patan
One of the major city of the Kathmandu valley is Patan. Along with the cities of Kathmandu and Bhakatapur, it is an important cultural center of Nepal. One of the main attractions is the Jagat Narayana temple. On its walls you can see a bizarre painting of an erotic nature. After visiting other monuments and temples (and there are exactly 55 of them in the city), go to Kopundol Street, where the best shops are located. Here you can buy paper or fabric products, dishes and much more. Remember that Tibetan carpets are the best of their kind!
Panauti
The city of Panauti is located 21 miles from Kathmandu, at the confluence of two rivers. Once Panauti served as a transit point on the ancient trade route to Tibet. Today, connoisseurs of Hindu and Buddhist architecture come here – picturesque churches and temples stand right at the water’s edge.
Pokhara
